The volume of 378 pages. While this is a significant contribution widening knowledge in the social sciences, in particular, two new disciplines on safety
and the science of defense. Both his professional preparation and education allow for reliable writing a book textbook for students of studies dealing with education in the area to prepare staff for work in the institutions operating within the state security system, including teams of emergency response at different levels of government, combined administration and detached in the areas of system analysis of safety.
 Author ranked among the leading scholars in the field of social sciences, specializing in the teachings of the Security-ety and defense. In his next book, he signed a compendium of knowledge about the dangers and safety. In a clear and understandable manner in the development of social science shows and strongly supports the creation of two new disciplines on safety and science
on defense, which rise over the years, as it turned out now successfully courted. The study tied high importance to widely understood security (free. Complex), which is the value of belonging among the most important when it comes to the functioning and existence of every human being.
The most valuable sequences of the contents of this book relate to the methodology and practice of threats and an indication that we are not free from them. Crises of varying degrees of danger occurred, they are and will occur. The author considers that the safety subsumed in the defense systems of individual countries and Polish defense capability as an attribute of security of the state determine its strength of integration, the ability to self-being. In convincing, competent manner shows the need for a modern understanding of a scientific approach to security issues in the context of scientific specialization sekuritologii, belonging to the disciplines of social science: the science of security and defense science. It is believed that this combination of scientific inquiry and practice their effective application security can bring many benefits to society.
The work reviewed is a monograph, consists of an introduction, nine chapters and a conclusion.
The author gives a scientific site in the form of new and modern at the same time methodological proposals. The basis of his scientific reflection are long-term studies and publications in the field of safety issues. The author is a well-known educator, who introduced in the area of education, the need for training and education for safety. Clearly and accurately committed to the aims and objectives of this work. Consistently and logically pursues these objectives. Not without significance is the abundance of tables and illustrations, that decisively enhance the value of this work. In contrast, all of them are necessary because along with the text provide essential knowledge for students and teachers of vocational training in the field of security. I have no fear that they are outdated in a short time, because they were developed in a universal way. In this form, the reader receives knowledge universal and based on empirical research and practical work in the area of security even as a military aviator and head area traffic control system, mobilization of troops in the country.
Evaluated work - in my opinion - is a modern academic textbook for students of internal security and national. The author is still active academic teacher, conducting lectures on the issue. Editorially work is clearly designed, it has a scientific values while teaching. It is written in clear language, the reader should not therefore have trouble understanding them. In an orderly manner they have been defined titles of individual chapters and topics in chapters.
Public of this book, in my opinion, will be big. These should include a large number of students studying in the fields of social sciences and disciplines of security and defense science. For the audience this book include considerable number of specialists in organizations and institutions responsible for security. Probably on the book market this book will be sought.
